Initiative summary:
The update would be twofold: first, depending on the results of the analysis of the relevant supportive evidence, it may implement the parameters of a new procedure to provide access to justice in environmental matters in relation to EU State aid decisions, considering the EU’s international commitments in the field of the environment. Second, an amendment of the State aid procedural rules is foreseen to reflect recent Commission practice and case law developments concerning the handling of State aid cases.
