- Initiative summary:
- Proposed within the Digital Decade Policy Program 2030, ALT-EDIC is a multi-country project that pools data and resources from Member States to achieve sovereign capacity in Language Technologies and ensure European leadership in line with EU rules and values. Centred on building an ecosystem particularly around Large Language Models (LLMs), it facilitates access to extensive language data covering at least all EU official languages, supporting EU industries to adopt European LLMs, a key subset of General-Purpose Artificial Intelligence models.
