- Initiative summary:
- A sustainable fisheries agreement between EU and Cook Islands allows EU vessels to fish in the waters of the Cook Islands and EU to support the Cook Islands’ sustainable fisheries policy. Technical and financial conditions are set in a Protocol which expires in 2020. The Commission is starting preparatory work for the negotiation of a new Protocol to continue this partnership.
