A4-0064/97 Legislative resolution embodying Parliament's opinion on the proposal for a Council Decision on the conclusion by the European Community of the Interim Agreement between the European Community, the European Coal and Steel Community and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the Republic of Armenia, of the other part, on trade and trade-related matters (COM(96)0321 - 8891/96 - C4- 0686/96 - 96/0179(CNS)) (Consultation procedure) The European Parliament, - having regard to the proposal for a Council Decision, COM(96)0321 - 96/0179(CNS), - having regard to the draft Interim Agreement initialled by the Commission (COM(96)0321), - having regard to Article 113 and the first sentence of Article 228(2) of the EC Treaty, - having been consulted by the Council (8891/96 - C4-0686/96), - having regard to Rule 90(7) of its Rules of Procedure, - having regard to the report of the Committee on External Economic Relations and the opinions of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence Policy and the Committee on Budgets (A4-0064/97), 1. Approves the conclusion of the Interim Agreement; 2. Instructs its President to forward this opinion to the Council and Commission, and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Republic of Armenia.
