A4-0028/95 Decision on the joint text approved by the Conciliation Committee for a European Parliament and Council Directive on the legal protection of biotechnological inventions (C4-0042/95 - 94/0159(COD)) (Codecision procedure: third reading) The European Parliament, - having regard to the joint text approved by the Conciliation Committee and the declarations annexed thereto, C4-0042/95 - 94/0159(COD), - having regard to its opinion at first reading (( OJ C 305, 23.11.1992, p. 160.)) on the Commission proposal to Parliament and the Council, COM(0088)0496 ((OJ C 10, 13.1.1989, p. 3.)), - having regard to its decision on the common position ((OJ C 205, 25.7.1994, p. 307.)), - having regard to the Commission's opinion on Parliament's amendments to the common position (COM(94)0245 - C4-0005/94), - having regard to Article 189b(5) of the EC Treaty, - having regard to Rule 77(2) of its Rules of Procedure, - having regard to the report of its delegation to the Conciliation Committee (A4-0028/95), 1. Rejects the joint text; 2. Instructs its President to forward this decision to the Council and Commission.
