Corrigendum to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1376/97 of 17 July 1997 opening and providing for the administration of an import tariff quota for young male bovine animals for fattening (1 July 1997 to 30 June 1998) (Official Journal of the European Communities No L 189 of 18 July 1997)

The publication of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1376/97 should be completed with the following statement:

'COMMISSION STATEMENT ON REGULATION (EC) No 1376/97

If the Council adopts the Commission's proposal for a regulation providing for a reduction in the rate applicable to imports under the WTO tariff quota for certain live bovine animals, the Commission undertakes to adjust the detailed rules for applying that measure in order to close the import dossiers pending since 1 July 1996 and settle them definitively at a specific amount reduced to ECU 399 per tonne under the tariff quota of 169 000 head of live bovine animals.`
