Initiative summary:
This initiative will provide a common framework for calculating and reporting greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions of transport services in freight and passenger sectors. The resulting data will allow a fair comparison of different transport options based on their environmental performance, thus enabling businesses and consumers to choose the most sustainable one. The framework will also serve as a reference for certification and eco-labelling initiatives, green procurement and funding programs.
