1. Resumption of session
The sitting opened at 17.10.
2. Approval of Minutes of previous sitting
Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin and Richard Corbett had informed the Presidency that they had been present but that their names were not on the attendance register.
The Minutes of the previous sitting were approved.
3. Membership of interparliamentary delegations
On a proposal from the Conference of Presidents, Parliament ratified the appointment of Armando Veneto as member of the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
The number of members of the delegation increased from 77 to 78 — East Timor's accession to the Association Agreement had brought the number of member countries to 78.
4. Request for the defence of parliamentary immunity
Jannis Sakellariou, a former MEP, had written to the President requesting that his parliamentary immunity be upheld in the context of legal proceedings pending before a court in Athens.
Under Rule 6(3), the request had been referred to the committee responsible, the JURI Committee.

9. Transfers of appropriations
The Committee on Budgets had considered the Commission's proposal for transfer of appropriations DEC 10/2006 (C6-0125/2006 — SEC(2006)0382).
Having noted the Council's opinion, it had decided to reject the entire proposal under Article 24(3) of the Financial Regulation of 25 June 2002.

11. Action taken on Parliament's positions and resolutions
The Commission communication on the action taken on the positions and resolutions adopted by Parliament at the February I and II part-sessions had been distributed.
12. Calendar of part-sessions
At the request of the Presidency-in-Office of the Council, the Conference of Presidents had decided, at its meeting of 8 June 2006, that a part-session would be held between 11.00 and 13.00 on 20 June.
The only item on the agenda would be the Council and Commission statements on the outcome of the European Council of 15-16 June 2006.
The following spoke: Miguel Angel Martínez Martínez, who expressed his disappointment that the partsession in question was to be held at the same time as an ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, and Bernd Posselt, who questioned the relevance of holding such a part-session.
13. Order of business
The next item was the order of business.
