    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 192/2021

    of 9 July 2021

    amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2024/314]

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/329 of 24 February 2021 concerning the renewal of the authorisation of a preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase and endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase for chickens for fattening (holder of the authorisation: AVEVE NV), and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1091/2009 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (2)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/330 of 24 February 2021 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of 3-phytase produced by Komagataella phaffii CECT 13094 as a feed additive for pigs for fattening, minor porcine species, turkeys for fattening and reared for breeding (holder of authorisation: Fertinagro Biotech S.L.) (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (3)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/343 of 25 February 2021 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lactobacillus buchneri DSM 29026 as a feed additive for all animal species (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (4)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/344 of 25 February 2021 concerning the authorisation of sorbitan monolaurate as a feed additive for all animal species (4) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (5)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/346 of 25 February 2021 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lactobacillus parafarraginis DSM 32962 as a feed additive for all animal species (5) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (6)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/363 of 26 February 2021 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of fumonisin esterase produced by Komagataella phaffii DSM 32159 as a feed additive for all animal species (6) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (7)

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/367 of 1 March 2021 concerning the renewal of the authorisation of a preparation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-4407 as a feed additive for calves for rearing and repealing Regulation (EU) No 883/2010 (holder of authorisation S.I. Lesaffre) (7) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    (8)

    Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/329 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 1091/2009 (8) which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

    (9)

    Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/367 repeals Commission Regulation (EU) No 883/2010 (9) which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

    (10)

    This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein.

    Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    Chapter II of Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

    1.

    The following points are inserted after point 391 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2121):

    32021 R 0329: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/329 of 24 February 2021 concerning the renewal of the authorisation of a preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase and endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase for chickens for fattening (holder of the authorisation: AVEVE NV), and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1091/2009 (OJ L 65, 25.2.2021, p. 38).

    2.

    The texts of points 1zzzzzt (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1091/2009) and 2j (Commission Regulation (EU) No 883/2010) are deleted.

    Article 2

    The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2021/329, (EU) 2021/330, (EU) 2021/343, (EU) 2021/344, (EU) 2021/346, (EU) 2021/363 and (EU) 2021/367 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 10 July 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
