REGLAMENTO (UE) 2025/1108 DE LA COMISIÓN
de 23 de mayo de 2025
que modifica el Reglamento (CE) n.o 2368/2002 del Consejo, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto
LA COMISIÓN EUROPEA,
Visto el Tratado de Funcionamiento de la Unión Europea,
Visto el Reglamento (CE) n.o 2368/2002 del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2002, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto (1), y en particular su artículo 20,
Considerando lo siguiente:

En el anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n.o 2368/2002 figura la lista de los participantes en el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley (PK) y de sus respectivas autoridades competentes. |
|
(2) |
Sobre la base de la información proporcionada por la Presidencia del sistema de certificación del PK o por los participantes, la Comisión podrá modificar la lista de participantes y sus autoridades competentes. |
|
(3) |
El PK tomó nota de la solicitud de adhesión de Uzbekistán y, tras una misión de expertos, concluyó que cumple los requisitos mínimos del sistema de certificación. |
|
(4) |
El Pleno del proceso de Kimberley aprobó la inclusión de Uzbekistán en la lista de participantes en dicho proceso en su reunión celebrada en Dubái en noviembre de 2024. |
|
(5) |
Procede, por tanto, modificar el anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n.o 2368/2002 en consecuencia. |
HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:
Artículo 1
El anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n.o 2368/2002 se sustituye por el texto del anexo del presente Reglamento.
Artículo 2
El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor a los veinte días de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.
El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.
