DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 143/2023
of 28 April 2023
amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2404]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851 of 22 March 2022 correcting the Portuguese language version of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 on unmanned aircraft systems and on third-country operators of unmanned aircraft systems (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844 of 30 May 2022 correcting the Swedish language version of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 66ne (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011):

The following indent is added in point 66zbb (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945):

Article 2
The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1), or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 115/2023 of 28 April 2023 (3), whichever is the later.
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
