- Initiative summary:
- The initiative will support the implementation of the European pillar of social rights principles on gender equality, childcare and support to children and long-term care. It will highlight the importance of care, in particular for gender equality, and the need for high quality, accessible and affordable care services for children and older people. It will announce supportive EU-level actions and be accompanied by two initiatives on long-term care and on revising the 2002 Barcelona targets.
