- Initiative summary:
- Since climate change will continue to create significant stress in Europe in spite of mitigation efforts, it is crucial to strengthen the efforts on climate-proofing, resilience building, integration of climate in risk management practices, and step up prevention and preparedness. This ambitious initiative is part of the European Green Deal and will replace the 2013 EU Strategy on Adaptation. Climate adaptation should continue to influence investments, including on nature-based solutions.
