A4-0419/98 Legislative resolution embodying Parliament's opinion on the proposal for a Council and Commission Decision on the position to be taken by the Community within the Association Council established by the Europe Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States of the one part, and Romania of the other part, signed in Brussels on 1 February 1993, with regard to the adoption of the rules for the implementation of Article 64(1)(i), (1)(ii) and (2) of the Europe Agreement and for the implementation of Article 9(1)(1), (1)(2) and (2) of Protocol 2 on ECSC products to the Europe Agreement (COM(98)0236 - C4-0275/98 - 98/0139(CNS))(Consultation procedure) The European Parliament, - having regard to the proposal for a Council and Commission Decision, COM(98)0236 - 98/0139(CNS), - having regard to Articles 87 and 235 of the EC Treaty, - having been consulted by the Council pursuant to Article 228(3), first subparagraph, of the EC Treaty (C4-0275/98), - having regard to Rule 90(7) of its Rules of Procedure, - having regard to the report by the Committee on External Economic Relations(A4-0419/98), 1. Approves the position to be taken by the Community; 2. Instructs its President to forward this opinion to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and Romania.
