THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, MEETING WITHIN THE COUNCIL, Noting that the Council has approved Directive 85/384/EEC on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and other evidence of formal qualifications in architecture, including measures to facilitate the effective exercise of the right of establishment and freedom (1) to provide services, Noting that this Directive refers only to diplomas, certificates and other evidence of formal qualifications awarded to nationals of Member States by other Member States; Anxious to take account of the special situation of certain Greek-speaking persons of Greek origin who are nationals of third countries conterminous with Greece (omogeneíw) , and who have studied architecture in a Member State, hold diplomas in architecture recognized under Greek law, and have been authorized, in accordance with Greek law, to register with the Technical Chamber of Greece, HEREBY STATE THAT: the taking up and pursuit in their territories of an activity covered by Directive 85/384/EEC by the persons referred to above must be given especially favourable consideration in order that the persons concerned might enjoy the most favourable treatment possible in their territories.
