- Initiative summary:
- The 2023 State of the Energy Union report is the eighth one since the entry into force of the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action Regulation. It provides for a comprehensive assessment of the progress made on the Union’s energy and climate objectives while taking stock of the European Green Deal implementation and managing crises (the Covid-19 pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the energy crisis). It is accompanied by reports and annexes addressing specific energy and climate related policy issues.
