Beneficiaries are associations of agricultural consortia, cooperatives and undertakings

Objective: To conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and heritage of the National Parks in England and Wales and promote understanding of their qualities

Legal basis: Section 39 of the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act and Section 17 of the 1979 Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act

Budget: Variable

Aid intensity or amount: Aid for agri-environmental commitments under management agreements: Payments to recipients will not exceed maximum amounts set out in Annex to Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999. Maximum aid intensity for non-remunerative capital works will be complied with as set out in Article 15 of Regulation (EC) No 445/2002.

Aid for provision of technical support: Up to 100 % of eligible costs. Maximum aid intensity per beneficiary will not go beyond EUR 100000 over any three year period

Duration: Five years the date of the Commissions's approval. Payments under management agreements will continue after expiry of the scheme

Aid intensity or amount: For animals which died between 1.1.2003 and 31.12.2003: 80 % of removal and destruction costs.

For animals which died between 1.1.2004 and 31.12.2004: 100 % of removal costs, 75 % of destruction costs. The overall level of compensation may not exceed 80 %

Duration: Until 31.12.2004
