    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

    No 155/2005

    of 2 December 2005

    amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Annex XXI to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 128/2005 (1).

    (2)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 750/2005 of 18 May 2005 on the nomenclature of countries and territories for the external trade statistics of the Community and statistics of trade between Member States (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (3)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 772/2005 of 20 May 2005 concerning the specifications for the coverage of the characteristics and the definition of the technical format for the production of annual Community statistics on steel for the reference years 2003 to 2009 (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (4)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 782/2005 of 24 May 2005 setting out the format for the transmission of results on waste statistics (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (5)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 783/2005 of 24 May 2005 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste statistics (5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

    HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

    Article 1

    Annex XXI to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

    1.

    the following point shall be inserted after point 9b (Commission Regulation (EC) No 2081/2003):

    ‘9c.

    32005 R 0750: Commission Regulation (EC) No 750/2005 of 18 May 2005 on the nomenclature of countries and territories for the external trade statistics of the Community and statistics of trade between Member States (OJ L 126, 19.5.2005, p. 12).’;

    2.

    the following point shall be inserted after point 4c (Regulation (EC) No 48/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

    ‘4ca.

    32005 R 0772: Commission Regulation (EC) No 772/2005 of 20 May 2005 concerning the specifications for the coverage of the characteristics and the definition of the technical format for the production of annual Community statistics on steel for the reference years 2003 to 2009 (OJ L 128, 21.5.2005, p. 51).’;

    3.

    the following point shall be inserted after point 27 (Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

    ‘27a.

    32005 R 0782: Commission Regulation (EC) No 782/2005 of 24 May 2005 setting out the format for the transmission of results on waste statistics (OJ L 131, 25.5.2005, p. 26).’;

    4.

    the following indent shall be added in point 27 (Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

    ‘—

    32005 R 0783: Commission Regulation (EC) No 783/2005 (OJ L 131, 25.5.2005, p. 38).’

    Article 2

    The texts of Regulations (EC) No 750/2005, (EC) No 772/2005, (EC) No 782/2005 and (EC) No 783/2005 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 3 December 2005, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
