amending Decision 87/233/EEC recognizing that the production of certain quality wines produced in specified regions, because of their qualitative features, is far below demand

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 822/87 of 16 March 1987 on the common organization of the market in wine (1), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1972/87 (2), and in particular Article 6 (4) thereof,

Whereas Commission Decision 87/233/EEC (3) recognizes that the production of certain quality wines produced in specified regions is far below demand; whereas, as the result of an error, the areas appearing in the Annex for France do not correspond to the areas given in the text put to the vote of the Management Committee for Wine; whereas the Decision should therefore be amended,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The Annex to Decision 87/233/EEC is replaced by the following:
