- Initiative summary:
- Current de minimis state aid rules allow exemptions from state aid control for small state aid amounts as they are deemed to have no impact on competition and trade in the EU internal market. These rules are set to expire on 31 December 2023. The Commission intends to revise the rules to update the exempted amounts in light of inflation and enhance transparency obligations.
