Annual expenditure planned under the scheme or overall amount of individual aid granted to the company: HUF 780 million

Maximum aid intensity: Aid up to 100 % of the administrative costs of establishing and maintaining herd books, 70 % of the costs of testing to determine genetic quality or yield of livestock, and 50 % of performance testing costs for the purpose of approving breeds.

The Decree lays down the maximum aid payable per item

Date of implementation: 1 March 2009, or after the Commission has adopted its position

Duration of scheme or individual aid award: We wish to maintain the aid scheme until 31 December 2013.

(After 1 January 2009, the aid can be requested for services provided in a given calendar year until 10 March of the next calendar year.)

Objective of aid: Maintenance and improvement of the genetic quality of livestock, and support for organisational activities relating to livestock breeding.

The provisions pursuant to Article 16(1)(a) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 are applied to support for keeping herd books. Support for tests to determine the genetic quality or yield of livestock is in accordance with the provisions of Article 16(1)(b).

The eligible costs of the programme were determined taking 2008 actual expenditure into account. The maximum amount payable as support is determined by the Decree

Objective of aid: The main aim of the aid scheme is to carry out specialised technical support programmes aimed at achieving higher standards of technical support for improving the livestock population and related products in Veneto Region, together with animal welfare and the process of bringing production systems, facilities and livestock equipment into line with the new rules on safety, environmental compatibility and hygiene/health.

The reference provision for implementation of the aid scheme is Article 15 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006

Maximum aid intensity: 40 % of eligible costs up to a ceiling of EUR 60 000 per undertaking

Date of implementation: On 12 May 2009 the Gedeputeerde Staten of Noord-Holland (North Holland Provincial Executive) adopted the implementing rules relating to the 2009-13 Groene Uitweg Noord-Holland scheme. Although the rules have not been published to date, they are expected to enter into force on approximately 24 June 2009, i.e. 30 days from the day of their publication

Objective of aid: The start-up costs of Andalusian cooperatives with the characteristics of SMEs, established as a result of an integration process. Other information: In accordance with Article 2(2) of the draft Decree the following requirements must be complied with:

the start-up aid must not be paid in respect of costs incurred after the fifth year, or paid following the seventh year after recognition of the producer organisation (Article 9(3) of the Exemption Regulation),

aid granted to bodies the sole objective of which is the management of one or more agricultural holdings and which are therefore in effect single producers will not be taken into account (Article 9(5) of the Exemption Regulation),

aid granted to bodies which undertake tasks at the level of agricultural production, such as mutual support and farm relief and farm management services will not be taken into consideration (Article 9(6) of the Exemption Regulation),

aid to bodies the objectives of which are incompatible with a Council Regulation setting up a common market organisation will not be taken into consideration (Article 9(8) of the Exemption Regulation),

for the definition of ‘small and medium-sized enterprise’, Annex I to Commission Regulation (EC) No 800/2008 of 6 August 2008 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the common market in application of Article 87 and 88 of the Treaty will apply.

Duration of scheme or individual aid award: Until 31 December 2013

Objective of aid: The exemption is justified by Article 16(1)(e) of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 and is therefore compatible with the common market within the meaning of Article 87(3)(c) of the EC Treaty.

The purpose of the measure is to compensate for the costs of removing and disposing of the carcasses of cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry which were killed or died on a farm but which were not slaughtered for human consumption.

No direct payments will be made to beneficiaries; aid will be granted in the form of a subsidised service
