Title: Fishing Vessels (Decommissioning) Scheme 2003
Objective: To withdraw fishing vessels from the fleet in order to reduce effort on cod fishing by 15-20 %
Legal basis: Statutory Instrument
Aid intensity or amount: The applications will be considered on the basis of individual, competitive bids and will be selected those representing the highest benefit deriving from the bid. For vessels of 10 years or more the awards will be within the limits provided for under the Regulation 2792/1999 plus an additional 20 % scrapping premium. For vessels less than 10 years of age the ceilings will be increased by 1,5 % for each year less than 10 years of age
