    On 3 May 2007, the Commission decided not to oppose the above notified concentration and to declare it compatible with the common market.     Maximum aid intensity: The aid intensity is 100 %

    Date of implementation: The scheme will start on 4th April 2007.

    Duration of scheme or individual aid award: The scheme will begin on 4th April 2007. It will close on the 31 March 2008. The last payment will be made 31 September 2008

    Objective of aid: Sectoral development. The scheme will provide an advice service for farmers, farmer controlled businesses (FCBs) and other collaborative ventures within the agricultural supply chain in the North West of England. The scheme will provide advice, to help improve farm business performance and efficiency through collaboration and supply chain efficiency.

    The aid will be paid in line with Article 15 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 and the eligible costs will be consultancy services.

    Sector(s) concerned: The scheme is aimed primarily at businesses active in the production of agricultural products. However, some businesses in other parts of the wider agricultural supply chain (including processing and marketing) may also be eligible to take part. The scheme is open to businesses producing (or processing or marketing) any type of agricultural product.

    On 4 June 2007, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertaking FS Participation SAS (France) controlled by Fujitsu Limited (‘Fujitsu’, Japan), acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation control of the whole of the undertaking GIF Informatique (‘GFI’, France) by way of public bid initiated on 25 May 2007.

    2.

    The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

    for Fujitsu: manufacturing and sale of computing products, electronic devices, telecommunication products and provision of IT services;

    for GFI: provision of IT services, mainly in France.

    3.

    On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 139/2004. However, the final decision on this point is reserved. Pursuant to the Commission Notice on a simplified procedure for treatment of certain concentrations under Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (2) it should be noted that this case is a candidate for treatment under the procedure set out in the Notice.

    4.

    The Commission invites interested third parties to submit their possible observations on the proposed operation to the Commission.

    On 31 May 2007, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertakings Enel S.p.A. (‘Enel’, Italy) and Acciona S.A. ( ‘Acciona’, Spain) acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation joint control of the undertaking Endesa S.A. (‘Endesa’, Spain) by way of a joint takeover bid and an agreement entered into by ENEL and Acciona. Enel and Acciona will subsequently sell certain ENEL and Endesa businesses and assets in Spain and Italy, as well as related businesses in France, Poland and Turkey, to the German corporation E.on AG (‘E.on’).

    2.

    The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

    for ENEL: generation, distribution and supply of electricity, as well as purchase and sale of natural gas for domestic electricity generation;

    for Acciona: development and management of infrastructures and real estate projects, provision of transport, urban and environmental services, as well as development and operation of renewable energies;

    for Endesa: generation, distribution and supply of electricity. It is also active in the gas sector and to a limited extent, in real estate.

    3.

    On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 139/2004. However, the final decision on this point is reserved.
