The aid is granted in the form of subsidised services and does not involve direct payments to producers.

Proyecto de Resolución de la Presidenta del Fondo de Garantía Agraria y Pesquera de las Illes Balears (FOGAIBA) por la que se convocan las ayudas para el fomento de la intercooperación y la concentración de las cooperativas.

La medida es la prevista en el punto 1.1 del apartado cuarto del Proyecto.

Annual expenditure planned under the scheme or overall amount of individual aid granted to the company: The annual expenditure initially planned is EUR 400 000,00, with the possibility of increasing the payments.

Maximum aid intensity: The aid will be degressive, in the first year being 100 % of eligible expenditure and then being reduced by 20 percentage points each year over subsequent years, giving maximum aid of 100 %, 80 %, 60 %, 40 % and 20 % over the period of the integration measure with the following maximum limits on aid for each beneficiary over the full five-year period:

(a)	Total turnover resulting from the integration of up to EUR 1 000 000,00: EUR 100 000,00

(b)	Total turnover resulting from the integration of between EUR 1 000 001,00 and EUR 4 000 000,00: EUR 200 000,00

(c)	Total turnover resulting from the integration of more than EUR 4 000 001,00: EUR 400 000,00.

(a)	Total turnover resulting from the merger of up to EUR 1 000 000,00: EUR 100 000,00.

(b)	Total turnover resulting from the merger of between EUR 1 000 001,00 and EUR 4 000 000,00: EUR 300 000,00.

Date of implementation: From the date on which the identification number of the exemption request is published on the website of the Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Duration of scheme or individual aid award: It is planned that the measures provided for under the aid scheme will be carried out up until December 2014. However, this may be extended until 31 December 2015 if necessary to ensure that the aid can be granted for the full number of years provided for.

Objective of aid: This measure is based on Article 9 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 and is intended to promote and consolidate the integration of agricultural cooperatives by mergers to form new cooperatives, mergers through absorption and/or through the consolidation of second degree cooperatives.

Maximum aid intensity: Aid towards the payment of agricultural insurance premiums may be granted up to 50 % of the annual premium.

Other information: The legal basis for an existing State aid scheme for the payment of agricultural insurance premiums (XA 258/07) has been modified since in 2010 State aid is to be granted pursuant to Government Regulation (EC) No 264/2009 on agricultural support measures (Nariadenia vlády SR č. 264/2009 Z. z. o podporných opatreniach v pôdohospodárstve ), as amended.

Under the original scheme, registered under number XA 258/07, State aid was granted up until the end of 2009 only. The new scheme replaces this original scheme (XA 258/07). State aid will be granted under the new scheme after 1 March 2010.

Payments granted under the new scheme will meet the conditions laid down in Articles 12 and 18 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products and amending Regulation (EC) No 70/2001.
