Duration of scheme or individual aid award: Until 31 December 2013

Objective of the aid: Aid to promote the development of quality agricultural products and to promote trade agreements and partnerships.

In the case of aid granted to SMEs for services provided by outside consultants, the gross aid shall not exceed 50 % of the costs of such services. The services concerned shall not be a continuous or periodic activity nor relate to the enterprise's day-to-day operating expenditure, such as ordinary tax advice, regular legal advice, or advertising.

Aid for participation in promotional initiatives (fairs and similar events).

In the case of aid granted to SMEs for participation in fairs and exhibitions, the gross aid shall not exceed 50 % of the additional costs incurred for renting, setting up and running the stand. This exemption shall only apply to the first participation of an enterprise in a particular fair or exhibition

Other information: The planned duration of the aid scheme is up to 2013, i.e. until the expiry of the Community guidelines for State aid in the agriculture and forestry sector 2007 to 2013 (OJ C 319, 27.12.2006, p. 1) and the exemption Regulation, Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006. The annual expenditure of EUR 400 000 is provided for in the multiannual budget of the Region of Piedmont, as approved by Regional Law No 10 of 23 April 2007 for 2007, 2008 and 2009. Subsequent regional legislative acts of an accounting and financial nature shall set out, every year, the financial allocation of the aid scheme from 2010 to 2013
