DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 115/2012
of 15 June 2012
amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Annex XX to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 97/2012 of 30 April 2012 (1). |
|
(2) |
Directive 2009/31/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 on the geological storage of carbon dioxide and amending Council Directive 85/337/EEC, European Parliament and Council Directives 2000/60/EC, 2001/80/EC, 2004/35/EC, 2006/12/EC, 2008/1/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XX to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

the following indent shall be added in points 1a (Council Directive 85/337/EEC), 1i (Directive 2004/35/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council), 13ca (Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council), 19a (Directive 2001/80/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) and 32c (Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

the following shall be added in point 1f (Directive 2008/1/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘, as amended by:

(3) |
the following point shall be inserted after point 21as (Commission Regulation (EC) No 748/2009):

Article 2
The text of Directive 2009/31/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 16 June 2012, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
