DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 104/2012
of 15 June 2012
amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 80/2012 of 30 April 2012 (1). |

(2) |
Commission Regulation (EU) No 16/2012 of 11 January 2012 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the requirements concerning frozen food of animal origin intended for human consumption (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. |

(3) |
This Decision concerns legislation regarding veterinary matters. Legislation regarding veterinary matters shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following indent shall be added in point 17 (Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council) in Part 6.1 of Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement:

Article 2
The text of Regulation (EU) No 16/2012 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 16 June 2012, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
