    Initiative summary:
    This Act establishes EU standards related to the level of service, security and certification procedures for SSTPAs. It is based on 4 levels of security and a common level of service, as well as certification procedures, building on the work of the 2019 Commission Study on safe and secure parking areas for trucks. These new EU standards stem from the new Art. 8a of Reg.(EC)No.561/2006 giving the empowerment to the Commission to adopt a delegated act following the adoption of Mobility Package I.
