Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 1/2001 of 31 January 2001 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the Eurpean Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 74/2000 of the EEA Joint Committee of 2 October 2000(1). (2) Commission Directive 1999/21/EC of 25 March 1999 on dietary foods for special medical purposes(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 The following point shall be inserted after point 54v (Commission Decision 1999/217/EC) in Chapter XII of Annex II to the Agreement: "54w. 399 L 0021: Commission Directive 1999/21/EC of 25 March 1999 on dietary foods for special medical purposes, as corrected by OJ L 2, 5.1.2000, p. 79 (OJ L 91, 7.4.1999, p. 29)." Article 2 The texts of Directive 1999/21/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 1 February 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(3). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities. Done at Brussels, 31 January 2001.
