The European Parliament,

- having regard to the proposal for a Council Decision, COM(95)0244 - 95/0139(CNS),

- having regard to the trade agreement initialled by the Commission (COM(95)0244),

- having regard to Article 113 of the EC Treaty,

- having been consulted by the Council pursuant to Article 228(3), first subparagraph of the EC Treaty (9737/95 - C4-0414/95),

- having regard to Rule 90(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

- having regard to the report of the Committee on External Economic Relations and the opinions of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence Policy, of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy and of the Committee on Research, Technological Development and Energy (A4-0275/95),

1. Approves the conclusion of the interim agreement;

2. Instructs its President to forward this opinion to the Council, the Commission, and the governments of the Member States and of the Republic of Moldova.
