CONVENTION

on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fishery Resources in the South Pacific Ocean — The European Union’s deposit of its instrument of approval

The European Union signed the said Convention on 26 July 2010.

Following the Council of the European Union’s decision of 3 October 2011 to conclude the Convention, the European Union deposited its instrument of approval on 18 October 2011 with the Government of New Zealand as Depositary for the Convention.

According to Article 38(1) of the Convention, it shall enter into force 30 days after the receipt of the eighth instrument of ratification, accession, acceptance or approval. The Depositary has informed the European Union that, by 25 October 2011, six such instruments have been deposited.
