amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2019/1062]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/270 of 16 February 2017 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the conditions of approval of the active substance sulfuryl fluoride (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/357 of 28 February 2017 concerning the non-approval of the active substance cyclaniliprole, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/358 of 28 February 2017 confirming the conditions of approval of the active substance acrinathrin, as set out in Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/359 of 28 February 2017 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the conditions of approval of the active substance oxyfluorfen (4) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/360 of 28 February 2017 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the conditions of approval of the active substance buprofezin (5) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/428 of 10 March 2017 approving the basic substance clayed charcoal in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 (12) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/438 of 13 March 2017 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the conditions of approval of the active substance abamectin (13) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/555 of 24 March 2017 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the extension of the approval periods of several active substances listed in Part B of the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) No 686/2012 (AIR IV renewal programme) (14) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

Article 2
The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2017/270, (EU) 2017/357, (EU) 2017/358, (EU) 2017/359, (EU) 2017/360, (EU) 2017/375, (EU) 2017/377, (EU) 2017/406, (EU) 2017/408, (EU) 2017/409, (EU) 2017/419, (EU) 2017/428, (EU) 2017/438 and (EU) 2017/555 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 23 September 2017, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
