    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

    No 22/2010

    of 12 March 2010

    amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 18/2010 of 1 March 2010 (1).

    (2)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 886/2009 of 25 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of the preparation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CBS 493.94 as a feed additive for horses (holder of authorisation Alltech France) (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (3)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 887/2009 of 25 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of a stabilised form of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol as a feed additive for chickens for fattening, turkeys for fattening, other poultry and pigs (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (4)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 888/2009 of 25 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of Zinc chelate of hydroxy analogue of methionine as a feed additive for chickens for fattening (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (5)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 896/2009 of 25 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of a new use of Saccharomyces cerevisiae MUCL 39885 as a feed additive for sows (holder of the authorisation Prosol SpA) (5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (6)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 897/2009 of 25 September 2009 amending Regulations (EC) No 1447/2006, (EC) No 186/2007, (EC) No 188/2007 and (EC) No 209/2008 as regards the terms of the authorisation of the feed additive Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC Sc 47 (6) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (7)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 899/2009 of 25 September 2009 amending Regulation (EC) No 1290/2008 as regards the name of the holder of the authorisation of a preparation of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (CNCM-I-3698) and Lactobacillus farciminis (CNCM-I-3699) (Sorbiflore) (7) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (8)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 900/2009 of 25 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of selenomethionine produced by Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3399 as a feed additive (8) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (9)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 902/2009 of 28 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of an enzyme preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase produced by Trichoderma reesei (CBS 114044) as a feed additive for weaned piglets, chickens for fattening, chickens reared for laying, turkeys for fattening and turkeys reared for breeding (holder of authorisation Roal Oy) (9) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (10)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 903/2009 of 28 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of the preparation of Clostridium butyricum MIYAIRI 588 (FERM-P 1467) as a feed additive for chickens for fattening (holder of authorisation Miyarisan Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd, represented by Mitsui & Co. Deutschland GmbH) (10) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (11)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 904/2009 of 28 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of guanidinoacetic acid as a feed additive for chickens for fattening (11) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (12)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 905/2009 of 28 September 2009 amending Regulation (EC) No 537/2007 as regards the name of the holder of the authorisation of the fermentation product of Aspergillus oryzae (NRRL 458) (Amaferm) (12) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (13)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 910/2009 of 29 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of a new use of the preparation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-1077 as a feed additive for horses (holder of authorisation Lallemand SAS) (13) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (14)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 911/2009 of 29 September 2009 concerning the authorisation of a new use of the preparation of Pediococcus acidilactici CNCM MA 18/5M as a feed additive for salmonids and shrimps (holder of authorisation Lallemand SAS) (14) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    This Decision is not to apply to Liechtenstein,

    HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

    Article 1

    Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

    1.

    the following shall be added in point 1zzy (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1443/2006):

    Article 2

    The texts of Regulations (EC) No 886/2009, (EC) No 887/2009, (EC) No 888/2009, (EC) No 896/2009, (EC) No 897/2009, (EC) No 899/2009, (EC) No 900/2009, (EC) No 902/2009, (EC) No 903/2009, (EC) No 904/2009, (EC) No 905/2009, (EC) No 910/2009 and (EC) No 911/2009 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 13 March 2010, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
