Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 140/2003 of 7 November 2003 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 102/2003 of 26 September 2003(1). (2) Commission Decision 2003/100/EC of 13 February 2003 laying down minimum requirements for the establishment of breeding programmes for resistance to transmissible spongiform encephalopathies in sheep(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (3) Commission Decision 2003/181/EC of 13 March 2003 amending Decision 2002/657/EC as regards the setting of minimum required performance limits (MRPLs) for certain residues in food of animal origin(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 650/2003 of 10 April 2003 amending Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the import of live ovine and caprine animals(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (5) This Decision is not to apply to Iceland and Liechtenstein, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement is amended as follows: 1. the following indent is added in point 12 (Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council) in part 7.1: "- 32003 R 0650: Commission Regulation (EC) No 650/2003 of 10 April 2003 (OJ L 95, 11.4.2003, p. 15)."; 2. the following is added in point 19 (Commission Decision 2002/657/EC) in part 7.2: ", as amended by: - 32003 D 0181: Commission Decision 2003/181/EC of 13 March 2003 (OJ L 71, 15.3.2003, p. 17)."; 3. the following point is inserted after point 19 (Commission Decision 2002/657/EC) in part 7.2: "20. 32003 D 0100: Commission Decision 2003/100/EC of 13 February 2003 laying down minimum requirements for the establishment of breeding programmes for resistance to transmissible spongiform encephalopathies in sheep (OJ L 41, 14.2.2003, p. 41)." Article 2 The texts of Decisions 2003/100/EC and 2003/181/EC and Regulation (EC) No 650/2003 in the Norwegian language, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 8 November 2003, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(5). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 7 November 2003.
