DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 242/2021
of 24 September 2021
amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/494]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1380 of 19 August 2021 establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by Ukraine to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1381 of 19 August 2021 establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by the Republic of North Macedonia to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1382 of 19 August 2021 establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by the Republic of Turkey to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annexes V and VIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following points are inserted after point 10d (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1273) of Annex V to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2
The following points are inserted after point 11d (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1273) of Annex VIII to the EEA Agreement:

Article 3
The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2021/1380, (EU) 2021/1381 and (EU) 2021/1382 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 4
This Decision shall enter into force on 25 September 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 5
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
