Digital certificates of origin for Brazilian products
COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) …/... amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/761 with regard to the use of digital proof of origin for products originating from Brazil and the management of tariff quotas

- Initiative summary:
- Some tariff quotas for rice are overdemanded, hence to ensure a proper management and to be consistent with the management of tariff quotas for poultry, they should be subject to the reference quantity requirement. As from March 2023 the certificates of origin required for the import of certain products from Brazil are issued electronically. Some rules need to be amended to allow the Customs authorities of EU Member States to accept them. The wording of some Articles will be clarified.
