Initiative summary:
The European Electronic Communications Code aims to protect EU consumers and businesses from excessive prices for telephony services. The Code will require the Commission to adopt a delegated act setting maximum fixed and mobile voice call termination rates in the EU by 31/12/2020. Termination rates are the rates telecommunications operators charge each other to deliver voice calls between their networks.
