    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 67/2024

    of 15 March 2024

    amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1586]

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2106 of 6 October 2023 correcting certain language versions of Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/162 laying down rules for the application of Directive (EU) 2019/904 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the calculation, verification and reporting on the reduction in the consumption of certain single-use plastic products and the measures taken by Member States to achieve such reduction (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

    Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    The following is added in point 9dc (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/162) of Chapter XVII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

    ‘, as amended by:

    —

    32023 D 2106: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2106 of 6 October 2023 (OJ L, 2023/2106, 10.10.2023).’

    Article 2

    The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2106 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 16 March 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
