DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 235/2017
of 15 December 2017
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2019/1643]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1227 of 20 March 2017 on the conditions for classification, without testing, of glued laminated timber products covered by the harmonised standard EN 14080 and structural finger jointed solid timber products covered by the harmonised standard EN 15497 with regard to their reaction to fire and amending Decision 2005/610/EC (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1228 of 20 March 2017 on the conditions for classification, without testing, of external renders and internal plasters based on organic binders covered by the harmonised standard EN 15824 and rendering and plastering mortars covered by the harmonised standard EN 998-1 with regard to their reaction to fire (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XXI of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following points are inserted after point 2t (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1293/2014):

The following is added in point 2d (Commission Decision 2005/610/EC): ‘, as amended by:

Article 2
The texts of Delegated Regulations (EU) 2017/1227 and (EU) 2017/1228 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 16 December 2017, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
