DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 179/2014
of 25 September 2014
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2015/1247]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Commission Implementing Directive 2012/25/EU of 9 October 2012 laying down information procedures for the exchange, between Member States, of human organs intended for transplantation (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following is inserted after point 15zn (Directive 2010/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Chapter XIII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

32012 L 0025: Commission Implementing Directive 2012/25/EU of 9 October 2012 laying down information procedures for the exchange, between Member States, of human organs intended for transplantation (OJ L 275, 10.10.2012, p. 27).
The provisions of the Implementing Directive shall, for the purposes of this Agreement, be read with the following adaptation: This Implementing Directive shall not apply to Liechtenstein, with the exception of Article 7.’ |
Article 2
The text of Implementing Directive 2012/25/EU in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 26 September 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
