    of 7 March 2023

    amending Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 on an assistance measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace Facility for the period 2022-2024

    THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

    Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 28(1) and Article 41(2) thereof,

    Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    On 21 April 2022, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 (1), providing for an assistance measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace Facility for the period 2022 to 2024 (‘the assistance measure’).

    (2)

    The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy recommended to the Political and Security Committee the approval of an action under the assistance measure in support of the Multi-National Joint Task Force acting against Boko Haram. Part of that action is to be implemented by the Swiss non-governmental organisation, COGINTA.

    (3)

    The list of entities that can fully or partially implement actions under the assistance measure set out in Article 5 of Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 should therefore be amended to include COGINTA,

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 is amended as follows:

    (1)

    in Article 5(2), the following point is added:

    ‘(s)

    such non-profit entities as set out in the Annex.’;

    (2)

    in the Annex, the following text is added:

    ‘List of non-profit entities that may fully or partially implement actions under the Assistance Measure:

    —

    COGINTA’.

    Article 2

    This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
