DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 166/2019
of 14 June 2019
amending Annex XI (Electronic communication, audiovisual services and information society) to the EEA Agreement [2022/2158]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/296 of 20 February 2019 correcting certain language versions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/2286 laying down detailed rules on the application of fair use policy and on the methodology for assessing the sustainability of the abolition of retail roaming surcharges and on the application to be submitted by a roaming provider for the purposes of that assessment (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex XI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following is added in point 5cuc (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/2286) of Annex XI to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2
The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/296 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 15 June 2019, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
