DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 161/2019
of 14 June 2019
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2022/2153]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2065 of 17 November 2015 establishing, pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the format for notification of the training and certification programmes of the Member States (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2066 of 17 November 2015 establishing, pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, minimum requirements and the conditions for mutual recognition for the certification of natural persons carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, repair or decommissioning of electrical switchgear containing fluorinated greenhouse gases or recovery of fluorinated greenhouse gases from stationary electrical switchgear (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(3) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2067 of 17 November 2015 establishing, pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, minimum requirements and the conditions for mutual recognition for the certification of natural persons as regards stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment, and refrigeration units of refrigerated trucks and trailers, containing fluorinated greenhouse gases and for the certification of companies as regards stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment, containing fluorinated greenhouse gases (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2068 of 17 November 2015 establishing, pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the format of labels for products and equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases (4) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(5) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2065 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 308/2008 (5), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |
|
(6) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2066 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 305/2008 (6), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |
|
(7) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2067 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 303/2008 (7), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |
|
(8) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2068 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 1494/2007 (8), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |

(9) |
Annexes II and XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XVII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

Article 2
Annex XX to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

Article 3
The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2015/2065, (EU) 2015/2066, (EU) 2015/2067 and (EU) 2015/2068 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 4
This Decision shall enter into force on 15 June 2019, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*), or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 160/2019 of 14 June 2019 (9), whichever is the later.
Article 5
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
