Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 89/2001 of 13 July 2001 amending Annex I (veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the Joint Committee of the EEA No 54/2001 of 18 May 2001(1). (2) Certain acts incorporated into Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement should be removed and inserted under new headings. (3) This Decision is not to apply to Iceland and Liechtenstein, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The text of points 53 (Commission Decision 92/452/EEC), 72 (Commission Decision 93/693/EC) and 174 (Commission Decision 95/94/EC) in Part 8.2 shall be deleted and inserted as new points 1, 2 and 3 respectively under the following heading: "8.3.0. Semen, ova and embryos." 2. The text of points 156 (Commission Decision 97/252/EC) and 164 (Commission Decision 98/71/EC) in Part 8.2 shall be deleted and inserted as new points 1 and 2 respectively under the following heading: "8.3.6. Milk and milk products." 3. The text of point 114 (Council Decision 95/408/EC) in Part 8.2 shall be deleted. Article 2 This Decision shall enter into force on 14 July 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the Joint Committee of the EEA(2). Article 3 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities. Done at Brussels, 13 July 2001.
