No 60/2001

of 19 June 2001

amending Annex I (veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the Joint Committee of the EEA No 71/2000 of 2 October 2000(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2293/1999 of 14 October 1999 extending the provisional authorisations of certain additives in feedingstuffs(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2430/1999 of 16 November 1999 linking the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group of coccidiostats and other medicinal substances in feedingstuffs to persons responsible for putting them into circulation(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2439/1999 of 17 November 1999 on the conditions for the authorisation of additives belonging to the group "binders, anti-caking agents and coagulants" in feedingstuffs(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(5) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2562/1999 of 3 December 1999 linking the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group of antibiotics in feedingstuffs to persons responsible for putting them into circulation(5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(6) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2690/1999 of 17 December 1999 concerning the authorisation of new additives in feedingstuffs(6) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following points shall be inserted after point 1i (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1636/1999) in Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement: "1j. 399 R 2293: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2293/1999 of 14 October 1999 extending the provisional authorisations of certain additives in feedingstuffs (OJ L 284, 6.11.1999, p. 1).

1k. 399 R 2430: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2430/1999 of 16 November 1999 linking the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group of coccidiostats and other medicinal substances in feedingstuffs to persons responsible for putting them into circulation (OJ L 296, 17.11.1999, p. 3).

1l. 399 R 2439: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2439/1999 of 17 November 1999 on the conditions for the authorisation of additives belonging to the group 'binders, anti-caking agents and coagulants' in feedingstuffs (OJ L 297, 18.11.1999, p. 8).

1m. 399 R 2562: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2562/1999 of 3 December 1999 linking the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group of antibiotics in feedingstuffs to persons responsible for putting them into circulation (OJ L 310, 4.12.1999, p. 11).

1n. 399 R 2690: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2690/1999 of 17 December 1999 concerning the authorisation of new additives in feedingstuffs (OJ L 326, 18.12.1999, p. 33)."

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) No 2293/1999, (EC) No 2430/1999, (EC) No 2439/1999, (EC) No 2562/1999 and (EC) No 2690/1999 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 20 June 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(7).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities.
