amending Regulation (EEC) No 3446/86 fixing the accession compensatory amounts for olive oil for 1986/87

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,

Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and Portugal,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 473/86 of 25 February 1986 laying down the general rules for the system of accession compensatory amounts for olive oil (1), and in particular Article 7 (3) thereof,

Whereas the detailed rules for the application of accession compensatory amounts were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 583/86 laying down detailed rules for the application of accession compensatory amounts to olive oil (2);

Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 3446/86 of 28 February 1986 (3) fixed the accession compensatory amounts for olive oil for 1986/87;

Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1655/87 (4) modified Regulation (EEC) No 583/86 as regards the method for calculating the accession compensatory amounts falling within the subheadings 15.07 A II a) and 15.07 A II b) of the Common Customs Tariff; whereas it is therefore important to amend the abovementioned Regulation,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 3446/86 is hereby replaced by the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on 17 August 1987.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.

(a) Amounts applicable only to olive oil from third countries; for olive oil produced in the Community, the amount applicable is that set out in point 1.

(b) ACA deducted or granted by the Community as constituted on 31 December 1985.

(c) ACA deducted or granted by Portugal.

(d) If consumption aid is applied in Portugal, the ACA will be reduced by the amount of that aid.

(e) ACA deducted or granted by Spain.
