Since the Committee endorses the content of the proposal for a Council Directive amending Directive 2008/118/EC and Directive (EU) 2020/262 (recast) as regards tax-free shops situated in the French terminal of the Channel Tunnel and feels that it requires no comment on its part, it decided, at its 567th plenary session of 23 and 24 February 2022, (meeting of 23 February), by 214 votes with 8 abstentions, to issue an opinion endorsing the proposed text.
