The aid is granted to fruit growers or associations of fruit growers as a subsidy towards the actually payable hail insurance premium. The scope of the aid measure is limited to drought-related losses in the grassland areas used to grow forage for livestock. The Land Carinthia proposes to grant the following aid: - ATS 0,80 per kg of hay purchased - ATS 0,80 per kg of roughage replacement product purchased - ATS 0,50 per kg of feeding straw - ATS 0,10 per kg corn silage purchased - ATS 100 per each grass silage ball purchased. The fodder purchased must be intended to replace a shortfall in the beneficiary's own forage production. The aid is granted as a one-off measure and only upon presentation of the proof of purchase completed in the period between 1 August 2001 and 30 November 2001. The maximum amount of aid is determined according to the forage area of the holding. Livestock farmers with no forage area and sellers of roughage or its substitutes will receive no aid under the draft directive Legal basis: Richtlinie der Kärntner Landesregierung über die Gewährung von Beihilfen zum Ausgleich von Dürreschäden der Ernte 2001 Budget: ATS 20000000 (EUR 1453466) in 2001 Aid intensity or amount: The maximum amount of aid per holding is ATS 2000 (EUR 145,35) for each hectare of forage area.
