WRITTEN QUESTION E-3600/98 by Daniel Varela Suanzes-Carpegna (PPE) to the Commission (3 December 1998) Subject: 1999 autonomous Community tariff quota for tuna backs from third countries Can the Commission provide information concerning its forecasts for the 1999 autonomous Community tariff quota for tuna backs from third countries? Within what range are the quota size and tariff percentage likely to fall? Answer given by Mr Monti on behalf of the Commission (15 January 1999) There are no tariff quota forecasts for these products for 1999. Quotas are opened from 1 April, so the Commission will not be presenting its proposals until February, for adoption by the Council in March.
