Subject: Invalidity card

Does the Commission plan to propose a harmonization of the invalidity cards issued in Member States in the form of a single card which Community citizens could use throughout Europe?

Answer given by Mr Flynn on behalf of the Commission (3 October 1997)

On the basis of the powers and responsibilities conferred on it by the Treaties, the Commission currently has no plans to harmonise the invalidity cards issued in the various Member States.
